In her latest video, a 48-year-old journalist passionate about aging well shares her detailed skincare routine, answering requests from followers. The emphasis isn’t solely on looking young but on feeling and looking at her best for her age. Throughout her journey, she has tested various products, devices, and treatments, ultimately finding a few staples that she swears by.
She starts each day and night with a gentle, fragrance-free foaming cleanser from CeraVe, priced around £9. This cleanser effectively cleanses without stripping moisture, featuring hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and ceramides that help retain hydration. To enhance the cleansing experience, she uses a face cloth for light exfoliation.
Her nighttime routine includes the NuFace Trinity device, which she bought three months ago. This microcurrent device is applied with a hyaluronic acid gel primer, aiding in skin plumping and moisture retention. She has found that the gel helps conduct the microcurrent and plans to share results in an upcoming update.
In the mornings, she swaps the primer for La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 serum, a hyaluronic acid product combined with vitamin B5. While she initially found it slightly irritating, she now dilutes it with water to enhance its effectiveness, noting its reasonable price point.
Next, she applies Medik8 retinal serum at night, which is a stronger alternative to retinol, providing quicker results with less irritation. After two months of use, she is already seeing changes in her skin texture and plans to move up to a higher intensity level soon.
Currently, she’s also trying out Dr. Dennis Gross’s ferulic and retinol triple correction eye serum on one eye while continuing with the retinal on the other. She’s keeping a close eye on its effects, especially after experiencing slight puffiness initially.
For moisturizing, she relies on CeraVe Moisturising Cream, loaded with beneficial ingredients for hydration, costing about £15. Recently, she has been adding Obagi vitamin C drops to her daytime moisturizer for extra skin protection and collagen support, despite its high price of around £80.
A couple of times a week, she applies The Ordinary’s glycolic acid serum before moisturizing for clearer skin. At night, she is testing the luxurious Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream, which has a hefty price tag of £125, aimed at deep hydration and fighting signs of aging.
Sunscreen is a non-negotiable step in her morning routine. She uses two favorites: Paula’s Choice Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid, which offers a lightweight feel, and the La Roche Posay Anthelios Age Correct lotion, which targets age spots. Both products have become crucial in her daily regimen.
In conclusion, this comprehensive video details her daily and nightly skincare routines, showcasing the products she finds effective and how they contribute to her goal of aging gracefully. Her experiences reflect a mixture of affordability and luxury in her product choices, offering viewers valuable insights into her skincare journey. Followers are encouraged to share their favorite products and to subscribe for upcoming updates on her skincare trials.

What's your take on agustinus bader ?
Could you update this and tell us what your skincare routine is now? as ive watched your recent videos about retin a, red light therapy and hyaluronic acid, and the adipeau cream , Ive always followed Angie from hot&flashy , i use the products that she uses because she does a lot of research into ingredience but its so hard knowing what to do for the best for my skin, when you have been using something for ages because you have been told by experts that its what you should be doing to have healthy skin, theen its gets the trashed by another expert saying you may be doing your skin harm by using it , ugh, i hate it 🙁
remember if your vit c turns yellow, it is oxidized and no longer affective
Great video and very informative! I do have a helpful tip for your eyebrow pencil problem. If you put just a light dusting of translucent powder you can use your eyebrow pencil without it smudging. Hope this helps. It does for me 🥰
Can I use retinol after my nuface micro current everyday ? Or shouLd I use microcurrent once a week or in the morning ? Please explain .Thankyou !
Hey there! New subscriber here from Canada. 🙂 I've been looking for a Youtuber who knows about anti-aging skin care and reviews skin care products who is actually at the age where they'd know it it's working or not lol I'm 35 and am have both acne AND wrinkles, so that's just lovely. hehe Anyway, thanks for the great content!
so looking forward to the review on the left eye 😉
I have lots of questions & input( hope you don’t mind, only constructive feedback) ,but to start, it would be nice to know what your skin type is & what your skin concerns are? I’ve been trying to guess by the products you are drawn to, such as the cerave foaming cleanser ,but I’m not convinced after seeing some of your other product choices that I’m correct.
Do you tend to lean oily ?
I use Nuface with aloe vera gel
And the ordinary skin care us cheap and very good
Just tried using the cera ve cleanser. Loving it so far
I really enjoyed this! Looking forward to your review of the NuFace abs the Augustina cream
xx
Don’t get me wrong I could not justify paying these prices on skincare products. I would love to see you compare a high price cream with a drugstore price cream 🤔.
