In this video, the host shares five top tips for an affordable anti-aging skincare regime aimed particularly at women over 50. The first recommendation is to wear a moisturizer or sunscreen daily, emphasizing that a good moisturizer maintains skin hydration and supports the skin barrier. The host mentions using a Beauty Pie SPF sunscreen but also highlights the importance of moisturizing with products from brands like CeraVe, which offers a variety of affordable options containing beneficial ingredients like glycerin and hyaluronic acid. For climate-sensitive skin, the host suggests applying an SPF over moisturizer.
The second tip focuses on incorporating retinol into your skincare routine. Known for its anti-aging effects, retinol can be effective even in affordable formulations. The host advises users to start gently to avoid irritation and notes that The Ordinary has a budget-friendly retinol option.
For the third tip, the host discusses the significance of diet in maintaining healthy skin. Promoting a balanced intake of fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats—particularly from a Mediterranean diet—can enhance skin vitality. They stress hydration and limiting processed foods as essential components for overall health.
Exfoliation is the fourth tip, with a unique approach of using a flannel for gentle exfoliation rather than harsh creams. Additionally, they mention a lactic acid product from The Ordinary as an affordable alternative for adding brightness to the skin overnight.
Lastly, the fifth tip centers around sun protection. The host warns against excessive sun exposure, especially on the face, as it contributes to aging. They suggest protective measures like hats and sunglasses, along with the application of SPF, to shield the skin from harmful UV rays.
Overall, the video is a comprehensive guide to maintaining youthful skin without breaking the bank, inviting viewers to share their thoughts in the comments.

Hello from the 🇺🇸. I just found your channel! Your fabulous! Please add collagen supplement to your diet. They sell a powder on Amazon with a blue lable with a cow on it. 1 scoop every morning. In coffee, tea, juice. Tasteless. Benefits over time help your skin, hair, nails ect. Highly recommend for both men and women. Just look into the benefits of collagen as a whole. Will, keep watching.. 60 years young too!💕
I wish I could afford good skincare and healthy foods. My wrinkles, lines, and acne look terrifyingly wretched. 😓
Great tips Dez. The retinol from Beauty Pie is very gentle and works for me. I’d love you to do a video on your jewellery choices. I prefer silver to gold too and live a drop or hoop earring. Anoushka is expensive so I’d love to hear of some dupes
I'll definitely need to get a Joan Collins hat!!
I live in Australia and you go on holidays to the beach up to the sunnier parts – you see these people who sunbake …. Still !!! For hours on end!!!
They may be tanned but their skin is so old and they are probably younger than me.
I have sun baked when young but thankfully I hated it and stopped in my youth ( I find it soooo boring lol ) so I do not have very damaged skin.
When I garden I have a Joan Collins hat and wear sunscreen and I do not garden for hours either or go out in the hottest part of the day.
