In winter 2024, I’m excited to share my skincare secrets and recommendations specifically for combination skin. If you have similar skin concerns, this guide is tailored for you. My main focus during the colder months is hydration. Keeping your skin hydrated and supple is crucial, especially when it’s dry and cold outside.
Let’s dive into my winter skincare essentials, as well as a tutorial on my preferred products and massage techniques, followed by a review of each item’s pros and cons.
1. Cleanser:
I start my routine with the Curl Foaming Facial Wash, which lasts about 3-4 months, making it perfect for the entire winter season.
2. Hydration:
My go-to is the La Mer Treatment Lotion, a product I adore. I nearly finished a whole bottle! This step is essential to lay the moisture foundation for the following products.
3. Serums:
For the serum stage, I alternate between the La Prairie Caviar Liquid Lift and the Giorgio Armani Crema Nera Concentrates. Both are excellent, but the La Prairie is my top choice for its lightweight texture.
4. Eye Care:
I use the La Prairie Skin Caviar Eye Complex, followed by either the Crema Nera Eye Cream or the Tarte Maracuja Bright C Eye Treatment. The La Prairie formula is fantastic for quick absorption, albeit pricey.
5. Facial Cream:
For facial cream, I reach for either the La Mer Soft Cream or the Giorgio Armani Crema Nera Supreme Reviving Cream. Both are hydrating, though I find that the Armani cream can be heavy for my acne-prone skin.
6. Lip Care:
I finish with lip balm and have two favorites: the Jo Malone Vitamin E Lip Conditioner and the La Mer Lip Balm. Although the La Mer product is hydrating, it occasionally causes breakouts around my lips, prompting my preference for Jo Malone.
7. Body Care:
For body care, my favorites include the Laura Mercier Amber Vanilla Body Cream, a Laura Mercier Hand Cream, and a basic Foot Repair Cream. The body cream is rich and long-lasting, but quite expensive. The scent may be too strong for some, but it provides excellent hydration.
Facial Massage Techniques:
Incorporating a facial massage into your routine boosts absorption and creates an anti-aging effect. I recommend techniques targeting the neck and jawline to enhance overall treatment results.
Overall, my winter skincare routine focuses on hydrating and protecting my skin from the harsh winter elements. Make sure to assess each product based on your unique needs, especially if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Good ritual. Try also La prairies skin caviar eye cream & there gold serum. And always end with the caviar mist & energizing body mist. And La mer La crème is heaven and iconic, I like to use it in the winter. Also Sisley saffron cream is a goooood moisturizer too and less expensive than La prairie or La mer and still amazingly good.
