Video at the bottom!

In the quest for effective anti-aging and moisturizing creams, the beauty industry is often clouded by misinformation. Recent explorations reveal that not all creams live up to their promises, as evidenced by a discussion featuring Mitch, who recently navigated the world of skincare products.

Starting in your 20s, collagen loss accelerates at a rate of roughly one percent per year, leading to the wrinkles and skin changes many seek to avoid. As Mitch humorously acknowledges the subtle signs of aging, it’s clear that understanding skincare requires a deeper look beneath the surface.

To properly discern effective products, one must first understand skin anatomy. The skin, the body’s largest organ, consists of multiple layers: the hypodermis, dermis, and epidermis, which all play unique roles. The epidermis forms a barrier that often inhibits the absorption of active ingredients from creams. Therefore, scrutinizing ingredient lists becomes paramount.

Mitch evaluates various creams, beginning with the London and Grant Collagen Moisturizer and the Bluelene Revolutionary Anti-Aging Cream with Methylene Blue. Surprisingly, he discovers that collagen applied topically is ineffective due to its large molecular size, preventing absorption into the skin. Instead, he finds value in glycerin—a moisturizer that holds water in the skin—ranking the Bluelene cream higher for containing this vital ingredient.

Moving on to a Pure Vitamin C cream from La Roche Posay, the discussion uncovers another layer of deception in marketing terms. Products often claim to be “dermatologist tested” or “clinically proven” without strict definitions of what these terms entail, leaving the effectiveness open to interpretation and often overstating the potential benefits.

As Mitch continues his exploration, he compares the No7 Protect and Perfect Intense cream with SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.3%. Ultimately, the latter stands out as it contains retinol, the only ingredient widely recognized in the scientific community for its ability to stimulate collagen production when applied topically. This retinol product necessitates caution due to potential skin irritation, requiring gradual introduction into a skincare routine.

The discussion emphasizes that while many products claim anti-aging benefits, only retinol has solid scientific backing. Additionally, lifestyle factors—such as sun protection, hydration, and a balanced diet—play crucial roles in maintaining healthy skin and preventing premature aging. Sunscreen emerges as an essential component in this preventative strategy, as UVA rays are known to damage collagen.

In conclusion, navigating the aesthetics of skincare requires more than just trusting bold claims on packaging. By understanding ingredient efficacy and the science behind them, individuals can make informed choices in their skincare routines. While products vary in effectiveness, the wisdom shared offers valuable insights into achieving healthy, resilient skin without falling prey to marketing gimmicks.

Methylene Blue isn't "BS"… Its been around for ages, there is lots of research on it which might be applicable in terms of dermatology; but not specifically for dermatological use.

whar a coincidence, i just saw an interview with the scientist who created blueline on "The Honest Channel" it most definately does improve your skin greatly. plus it is a great sunblocker. you would think, in researching methylebe blue that he would go to their website. there a several peer revued studies proving it. she discovered its anti aging properties while reaearching treatment for people with progeria.

This video is stupid. You guys should look at these ingredients and go look in the peer-reviewed research journals to look at the data yourself. Just because there's not a scientific consensus across an industry doesn't mean that there's not published scientific evidence for certain ingredients. You guys probably wouldn't be able to read a scientific journal. It might be over your head. The information is there.

There are studies showing methylene blue reverses aging in skin. You have to put it on as the normal Methylene Blue though, and if you do that, your skin is going to look like you are in the blue man group for a few weeks lol.

Methylene blue, in spite of your false claim, does indeed have anti aging properties… A quick scan of NCBI will prove so.

Did you do ANY actual research before making this video?
How many hours did you spend studying each of the ingredients before you made this video?
Should I study all of them and see what else you got wrong?

Well guys, you are two years ahead because methylene blue is now the latest go-to. Here I sit looking like a Smurf, as I have added to it my Retin A serum (the L'Oreal revitalist Laser is the GOAT) hoping that there isn't a fire in my house as I seriously look as if I have been found lying face down in a river after 3 days. Any fire officer will chuck me straight back in with a cry of 'This one's gone! Anyway, anything for beauty…

Can you enlighten me to the fact that the methylene blue ingredient is the 'BS part of it'??? Have you not read the studies re combination of MB & Vit E, or MB & Vit C? Blows retinol out of the water apparantly, additionally, MB is also a full spectrum Sun screen without being damaging/toxic to the coral reefs.. Please think before you speak… If you are unaware, you are unaware, dont call something BS, if i am mistaken or misinformed, please enlighten me. 🦴

Has your opinion changed on Bluelene since 2yrs ago? I just watched yesterday a video from "Claudia Glows" and she had on the Cellular Biologist & Human Aging Scientist
Dr. Cao that has a patent on Bluelene on her channel speaking, and she mentions several scientific studies showing it is anti-aging and better than the gold standard RetinA. Would live your opinion now that there is scientific studies. Thanks 😊

I just got this skin crème in the mail to review today and wanted to do some research before reviewing and posting about this product. Your video was so educational and informative extremely helpful for what I needed to know to make a better informed product review. It’s this new “stem cell anti-aging crème” it has a lot of the good things you said to look for in cremes but it also has some other ingredients that I’m
Not familiar and did my best to google each ingredient but it was quite confusing. The product is by “Vitavelle cosmetics” and is the “stem cell anti aging crème” the first three ingredients are water, squalane, and glycerin. Father down the list it has retinyl palmitate is that one of the ingredients you were suggesting worked good towards the end of this video? Have you heard of this product is there anyway you could look into this and get back with me? Thank you so much!

Tretinoin and Tazarotene are the consensus based on solid track records and independent trials. Retinols and other retinoid derivatives are far far far from the anti-ageing scientific consensus if the cosmetics sponsored studies been unpicked. I am a big fan of your channel but this is a bold claim which is nearly misinformation. 🤔
